Location: Jacksonville Beaches Area & Surrounding Communities
Compensation: $25–$35/hour based on experience
Employment Type: Part-Time W-2
Hours: 8–15 hours per week average
Primary Work Days: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday

About This Role

Gardenista Jax creates stunning outdoor living spaces — and we need someone who takes pride in keeping them that way. We're looking for a detail-obsessed Landscape Maintenance Specialist who loves making plants look their absolute best after every visit.

As a Landscape Maintenance Specialist, your job is to make our clients' installations look picture-perfect on a regular schedule. You'll visit properties throughout the Jacksonville Beaches area and surrounding communities to weed, deadhead, prune, and refine the beautiful outdoor spaces our team has created — leaving every planting looking intentional, clean, and cared for.

This is not a mow-and-blow role. This is craft maintenance — the kind that makes a client say, "It looks like living art."

What You'll Do

  • Perform detailed weeding, deadheading, and pruning on residential and commercial properties
  • Keep planting beds clean, defined, and looking freshly installed
  • Identify plants that need attention and flag concerns to the team lead
  • Follow scheduled maintenance routes using Google Calendar and Asana
  • Communicate with the team via Slack for updates, questions, and schedule changes
  • Upload site photos and notes to Google Drive after each visit
  • Report observations about plant health and any needed follow-up to the team lead
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of tools and equipment

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Willingness to travel within Jacksonville Beaches and surrounding areas (mileage not covered)
  • Ability to transport tools and materials using your own vehicle when needed
  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • Good physical fitness and stamina — able to lift 50+ lbs and work on your feet for extended periods
  • Comfortable working outdoors in Florida heat and all weather conditions
  • Tech-savvy and comfortable using Google Calendar, Google Drive, Asana, and Slack — or eager to learn
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in your work
  • Experience with plant care, horticulture, or landscaping preferred but not required
