Position: 

Landscape Installation Associate

Description: 

Gardenista Jax is dedicated to creating beautiful outdoor spaces through expert landscape design, planter arrangements, and maintenance. We’re looking for a hardworking, detail-oriented, and self-motivated team player to join us as a Plant Landscape Installation Associate. If you enjoy rolling up your sleeves, working outdoors, and bringing beautiful landscapes to life, this could be the perfect fit for you!

This position is ideal for someone seeking 10–20 hours per week, or someone who wants the opportunity to grow alongside a new business and grow into a 30-hour position.

Installation Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the installation of small and medium plants, trees, and shrubs.

  • Dig small and medium holes for planting.

  • Relocate pots and planters as needed.

  • Carry and place pots and planters on porches, patios, and pool areas, etc.

  • Install plants into planters following requested design templates.

  • Lift and transport bags of soil, mulch, and other landscaping materials.

  • Remove debris, including weeds, leaves, and old materials.

  • Spread mulch and rocks.

  • Handle plant material order pick-ups and deliveries.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

  • Travel to client locations and provide maintenance services similar to those described above.

Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

  • Willingness to travel to the Jacksonville Beaches area and other surrounding areas in Jacksonville.

  • Willingness to use own vehicle to transport plants and materials between locations. (A truck or SUV is preferred. We are happy to provide a tarp to help with cleanliness.)

  • Ability to pass a background check.

  • Excellent physical stamina and overall good health.

  • Must be able to lift 50lbs.

  • The capability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

  • Ability to stand, bend, and squat for extended periods.

  • Experience with basic gardening tools. (As an independent contractor you will need to provide your own shovel, clippers, and gloves.)

  • Strong attention to detail and solid work ethic.

  • Effective communicator and English language proficiency.

  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and accept constructive feedback.

Job Type: Part-time, 1099 Contract

Hours: 10-20 hours/week

Pay: $20-$35/hour based on experience
