Shipping policy
Great attention to detail is put into packing fragile plants and planters. Lots of bubble wrap, PolyFill cotton, moss, cardboard and packing paper are used to ensure safe arrival of your items. Yet, once it leaves my care, it is in the hands of the delivery service. Issues are highly unlikely but do happen on occasion but my little business cannot be held responsible for package mishandling, product or plant damage, weather related issues and delays or temperature-related damage. Therefore, no refunds or returns are guaranteed for any reason. If there are issues, however, please send email and attach a video and photos. In order to be eligible for refund, video and photos must be submitted to gardenistajax@gmail.com within 48 hours of delivery. The video must show unopened box within 48 hours of delivery and include footage of you unpacking and unwrapping your item. Please also take and send lots of pictures of unopened box and unpacking process along with damaged item(s). Please send description of damage and state how you would like me to make it right. Your request will be reviewed and considered but please keep in mind refunds and replacements are not guaranteed before placing your order. This little business cannot be responsible for so many issues outside of my control once I mail your package.
Please keep in mind plants experience stress from shipping and can arrived in a state of shock. They require time to adjust to their new environment and recover from shipping stress. Plants arriving semi-bare root will need to be potted in good soil and given time to root in their new soil. Cuttings of plants should be placed in water or your favorite rooting medium and allowed time to root properly but rooting does not always happen even for the most experienced plant owner. Plants arriving in soil should not be re-potted upon arrival as that causes additional stress and changes and could cause death of plant. Your new plant baby is fragile and needs time to acclimate to its new environment.
Plant shipping insurance is available for purchase before checking out. This Shipping Insurance will cover any plants you are buying in the order you are placing. Within 48 hours of receiving the plant, if there is an issue or the plant has been damaged, you will have to request a refund. Requesting a refund entails sending videos and pictures of the plant to gardenistajax@gmail.com. Someone will assess the photos and handle is accordingly.
Please ensure the correct shipping address includes the Apartment or Building number if necessary. If the package is returned, customer is responsible for the cost of re-shipping the item. Customer is responsible for adding a heat pack to order if necessary for the shipping destination. During the winter months, if heat pack is not added to order and there is damage, customer is ineligible for refund.Â
Shipping delays associated with the Post Office and UPS are out of my control and not covered as that is a risk assumed by the purchaser.Â
